Chance The Rapper, Leon Bridges, The Roots + More Announced For Karoondinha Music & Arts Festival
Written by admin on May 2, 2017
The full lineup for the first annual Karoondinha Music & Arts Festival (pronounced ka-roon-din-ha) has brought in some big names to jumpstart its celebration. Chance The Rapper, Paramore, Leon Bridges and the Revivalists are just a few who acts who are being announced for the inaugural Karoondinha Music & Arts Festival. With 30+ acts also joining the first wave, this festival, which takes place at Penn’s Cave & Wildlife Park in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania looks to be one to add onto the list.
Set on 1,600 unspoiled acres of rolling hills and rich farmland, the festival site is one of the largest in the northeast, and features unspoiled sunflowers, world-class trout fishing and native North American wildlife. So, beware of the mountain lions, wolves, bears, and stay close to the bighorn sheep and longhorn cattle if you’re trying to get your adventure on. This is definitely the move for those who want to take a break from the rush-and-grind of city life.
Audiophiles can take part in daily yoga sessions, dance workshops, art installations, gourmet food vendors, multiple levels of camping options and all-water tour caves.
For those wondering where the name of this festival came from, the Seneca Tribe dubbed the land, “Karoondinha,” meaning “The Land of Shining Waters,” and gave energy to this three-day, multi-stage camping festival. Overall, 80 artists from John Legend to Chromeo to Alessia Cara will perform all the songs you know and love from July 21 – July 23. “We have assembled a team of experience ‘festival’ professionals to help bring our vision to life,” said founders Kaleena and Paul Rallis. “Collectively, the team of 60+ full-time and hundreds more part-time has worked on some of the most successful and well-established music festivals in the country. They are all extremely dedicated to Karoondinha and are working together seamlessly to take the necessary steps to ensure every aspect, including logistics, staging, production, security, medical, traffic, guest services, food and beverage, are handled in the best ways possible.”
General admission and VIP passes are on sale at Karoondinha.com for $279 (GA) and $649 (VIP) plus fees.
